Women in Leadership Forum - Open Group 13 December

03-media_banner_women_leadership-Jun.jpg

‘When I ask you to describe what leadership is, are you creating a picture that doesn’t include you? When it comes to leadership, do you feel like an imposter?’

Jill Currey, Currey & Co Consulting, often experiences women shying away from seeing themselves as leaders when they start her leadership programs. After the program, women describe the watershed moment when they put themselves in the picture.

Women in Leadership Forum is a monthly group session run in Hobart, Tasmania, exclusively for women, by women.  We take a view of leadership, that women can identify with, and grow and learn from. We also create a learning space that gives women the freedom to participate in the way that works for them, i.e., in pairs, small groups and/or with the whole group.

Each session will introduce a topic. For example:

  • Beliefs about Self in Leadership;
  • Communication in action;
  • Understanding your personal values;
  • Working with purpose in leadership;
  • Influence;
  • Conflict;
  • Personal vs Positional Power

See my blog to review the conversations this year.

Last year, women participated in WiLF at no charge- Jill donated her time, and Engineers Australia donated venue and printing. In 2018 we will have to charge a small fee, however this is less than a gym membership or a meal out.

Registrants have the option of registering for multiple sessions and will be provided with a tax invoice.
